The Dog Bed Everyone Else Is Buying

Our Best-Selling Calming Dog Bed and How It Can Help You

When you looked for your own bed and mattress what did you choose? Did you get the one that would arrive fastest? Did you go for the cheapest? What about a recommendation from a friend? You have many options for picking your own bed.

“I’ve posted pictures of Lucy enjoying her bed on Facebook and Instagram, and already a few friends are going to order one for their own dogs. If they came in a human size, I’d be tempted to order one for myself!” – Luna

Sadly, we do not sell a human-sized calming dog bed. You simply have the option of four different pet-based sizes. Measure your dog to work and find out which size is best. You can always make use of our generous return policy

Which pet bed is best?

The proof is in the pudding. We sell this calming pet bed 75% more than any other pet bed we offer. To tell you the truth, it isn’t the best pet bed. It isn’t the best, but it is good.

There is no best pet bed. Each dog has unique needs. Maybe you have an older dog that needs more padding. Maybe your dog needs to sleep cooler and so a cooling dog mat will suit them better.

“My animals love these beds. They were so excited when I took them out of the box, they could hardly wait to jump into them! I also bought the blankets, but the beds are so soft and cuddly that they don’t seem to need the blankets at all. This is a great purchase. I have a very fat cat and a small dog.” – Mia M

For dog bed or cat bed?

For cats and dogs! Cats and dogs enjoy our calming pet beds. More of these beds are bought for dogs, but cats do enjoy them too. The medium version should suit most cats. Dogs however range in size from a Chihuahua to a Great Dane. Pick from medium all the way up to XXL.

Which dogs need more sleep?

Each dog is an individual. Puppies and older dogs tend to need more sleep. (Just like people.) Certain breeds require more or less sleep. Even within breeds some dogs just need more sleep.

Many active dogs require less sleep than a dog that lazes around the house all day. However much sleep your dog needs, they do need a place to sleep. Dogs tend to spend around half of the day in proper sleep and about 30% of the day relaxing.

If you spent 80% of the day in one spot, you would want some comfortable furniture. Make sure your pet has a comfortable bed to sleep.

Do dogs get anxious?

The simple answer is yes. The longer answer is still yes but it is complicated. You may have read that 40% of dogs have anxiety in Australia. It is based on a Finnish study that suggested around 40% of family dogs displayed anxiety.

Sounds pretty scary right? The true story is better, it only talks about instances of anxious behavior. If your dog got frightened by fireworks once, then they would be counted in that statistic. Anxiety in dogs is a problem and our calming dog bed may help but please speak to a specialist who can help your dog.

“My dog LOVED it. She jumped in it the minute I put it on the floor and hasn’t gotten out since. She loved a dog’s bed when we were dog sitting, and it was this same kind of bed, so I knew I had to get one for her.” – Rachel A

What our pet bed does is give your cat or dog a better sleeping spot. Sleep deprivation in humans can cause anxiety and anxiety can cause sleeping problems. Dogs are likely no different, so give them the best chance at a good night’s sleep.

Your calming pet bed has raised (also called bolstered) sides for your pet to rest their heads. It functions very similarly to how we use pillows. Being fluffy can help too. Every other feature of a dog bed is to make it easier to use.

So how do calming pet beds work?

You can read lots of articles about why calming pet beds work. We think some have a hint of truth but lots of them use overblown figures and refer to science that doesn’t exist. All we know is that lots of dogs and cats enjoy them. A well-rested pet is a calmer pet.

“My dog LOVES this bed. It does not calm him. I think he thinks it’s a really big stuffed toy, so he thrashes it around like one. He also cuddles up in it to sleep. It’s lasted over a month of him fighting and biting it and it’s taking the beating very well!” – Morris

This is a calming pet bed, but each pet is unique. Maybe your dog is like Morris’ dog who thinks it is a big play toy. Lucky for you, we know dogs. Our pet beds are designed to withstand aggressive dogs. Luckier still, it becomes a two-for-one, pet bed and a play toy.

Easy to clean

Life is busy. If you had all the time in the world, you still wouldn’t want to waste time cleaning your dog bed. You would spend that time reading a book or chatting to your husband or working on your car or anything else.

“So soft and comfortable!! She gets mad when I touch it to clean it out/brush it. She's like "don't touch my bed, it's mine” – Bianca

Your calming dog bed is simple to clean. Just unzip the sides, take off the removable cover and run it through your washing machine. Hang the cover-up on the line to dry. Put it back on the calming dog bed and your dog can finally have their bed back.

I think the biggest problem you might have is getting your dog off the bed to clean it. You can always buy a second removable cover, so the bed is ready to use at all times.

Sweet sleep

“We ordered three of these and our dogs love them. Soft, cozy, and snuggly. Exactly what we wanted. One even stopped snoring at night because the edge holds his head up a little. In love with them.” – Mark

In the end, you want a dog bed that your dog will sleep on and doesn’t break the bank. Maybe you will get lucky like Mark and your dog will stop snoring. Wouldn’t that be a treat?
